How this will have an impact?
Each diesel truck will burn 39,000 litres diesel/year.
Replacing one diesel truck with BEVs will:
-Reduce~100 tonnes of CO2 emissions/year.
-Improve noise and air pollution in local communities.
-Support clean energy transition with the V2G/V2L function.
-
Australia currently lacks a domestic electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry and depends entirely on imported EV models. However, overseas OEMs often have limited understanding of, or interest in, Australia’s unique operational requirements, especially side-loading waste collection.
This highlights the need for an EV truck that is designed in Australia, and purpose-built from the ground up to meet Australian conditions and use cases from day 1.
And this is our focus from the start.
-
This is the heavy truck that comes closest to our everyday lives: it passes by every home, every week, impacting all of us. No other heavy vehicle operates as frequently, covers as many people, or gets as close to our neighborhoods.
That’s why it must be the starting point for cutting emissions. After all, no one wants to be jolted awake by the roar of a diesel garbage truck at dawn week after week.
It’s time for something quieter, cleaner, and better for our communities.
-
We understand that the high upfront cost of EVs can be a barrier to adoption. That’s why we’re committed to offering our electric truck at a price comparable to its diesel counterpart to making the transition to zero emissions more accessible and within reach.
-
Our first demo truck is already in manufacturing, with final integration underway. You can expect to see it in our workshop in Melbourne in Q1 2026.
